Kryptek Gear
« on: May 25, 2011, 06:44:47 PM »
KRYPTEK IS... a Combat Veteran Owned company....Small town guys- who aspired to fight and win our nations battles as soldiers..and now are bringing AMAZING adventure gear, at an affordable price, to the hard-core, American, outdoor Sportsman.  Kryptek provides combat proven features and designs in ultra high performance technical and tactical outdoor adventure apparel.

Kryptek will be offered in mothwing camo mountain mimicry with other patterns/colors in development.  Their gear will be available at Cabelas on July 5th.
Their website is: http://www.kryptek.com/

I for one can't wait to get my hands on some gear.  After talking with the owners of Kryptek and Larry Bartlett (owner of Pristine Ventures and inventor of T.A.G. game bags), I have no doubts that this gear will perform.

I could not be more proud to buy my gear from a company owned by some of our nation's warriors.  It is the least that I can do as a sportsman to repay them, besides if when the gear performs as advertised it will make my backcountry hunts that more enjoyable.  You can follow their development on additional products on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/kryptekoutdoors.

Larry Bartlett's comments:

Quote
Hey guys, thought i could chime in on Kryptek gear.  I've been field testing this clothing for over a year now, and I have been very impressed with the fit and quality.  I also am really glad that the Mountain Mimicry pattern was brought back to market after Sitka Gear moved to the GoreTex digital pattern.

One of the owners of Kryptek is the guy who started the MothWing company which designed the Mimicry pattern, so now Kryptek uses it for this lineup.

The weight of the clothing is stellar, too.

My pants: no stretch at all. Unlike Sporthill for example.
These pants are my favorite garment so far, rugged, fit well, plenty of boot length and overhang to keep debris out. Knees have protective coating bonded laminate. plenty of pockets everhwere.

weights:

pants = 25 oz
rain top = 23 oz
rain bottoms = 24 oz
longsleeve shirt = 13 oz

Great quality, unbelievable starting prices. Cabela's wanted Sitka quality with Browning prices, and they got it...they'll move this ineventory quickly IMO.

It's nice to have some good gear that's MUCH quieter than Sitka gear. The rain gear is great for wind protection while bow hunting, and there is no sound from this clothing when walking or when drawing my bow.

Anybody put their hands on this stuff yet?
It's in the new Cabelas master catalog.
Curious on the rain pants.

Tempted to order a pair of pants.  That's the one piece I've yet to be happy with.  Constant search for the perfect pant.

The Cadog Shield jacket and pants sure is a tempting purchase.
