I tried this while out bear hunting this weekend.  Guess what...it actually worked.   :dunno:  These are the skeeters the size of turkey and swarm like piranha to.  :chuckle: Worked on the flies and noseeums as well.  Has a little battery powered fan that make a little noise though.  Not loud and I got used to it after about 10 minutes.  Just thought I would report.

great! i was gonna use those this year seeing as its way cheaper then the thermacell to buy and use with refills and it lasts 3 times longer per refill.
they call me the bloodhound cause i can track a wounded animal in the rain for 2 days when all it has is a splinter.. sniff sniff awooo

Thats why I tried them also.  Figure for $9 and $5 for two refills it was worth a shot.  The refills last 12 hours and have to be used within 2 weeks of opening.  I get attacked at night while doing chores in the yard so this will work for that also.

Just to update.  I used the first refill all week while working in the garden and it worked great.  Went out to the woods today with the next refill and it worked great again.  I was hot and sweaty and the bugs really wanted a piece of me.  I could see them all around me but they could not get close.  So nice to not be covered in stinking bug spray.
