Found a dead bear this spring
« on: August 16, 2011, 05:49:11 PM »
Found this bear while hunting this spring. I feel like it was poached but who knows. Laying dead in the middle of a logging road so I dont see how it could have been lost by a hunter. I doubt a sick bear would just drop dead out in the open, I'd think it would die in it's bed. I did report it but the gamey wasnt interested said it looked to old. I sure hope it wasnt poached, sure would be a shame. Look at the color of the fur, what a trophy it could have been. I didn't post this this spring because I wanted to see what Fish and Game wanted to do about it and after that i kind of forgot until I was looking at my pics from this springs' hunt.

One moment you're flying south for the winter, then - BANG - gravy.

Unfortunately that is not the only bear found dead this year. Because of the winter and rotten spring we had, there have been about 10 bears found dead of starvation this year.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.
