Harli's?
ya got the east/west migration correct but a harli is a ground dweller for nesting.. though these will nest in rockeries and such they prefer a good ol'hole in a tree or have been known to use a wood duck box.

Ruddy's? wasn't sure if they bounced east to west, know I've seen them around Lenice a bunch in years past.
Smoke any good stogies in the canyon lately?

guess I'll stick to puddlers. they taste better anyways!
I've been good. living in Selah now with a view of the canyon off the deck. Kids are growing up, my oldest is 8 and looking forward to his second year of shooting ducks with me. Just added a black lab to the family last week. 8 week old female which should make it fun to watch the two of them grow up in the blind together. Kind of a crazy house right now since we also have a wood duck living with us. Rescued him while golfing after he got stuck in some chicken wire, couldn't have been much more than 2 days old at the time and now he's about ready to fly. we'll see where that leads. Was thinking about calling Tracy and seeing if we couldn't clamp a band on his leg.
How about you?

been crazy also.... I might have a spare #6 band for it.. Call Mikal in Ephrata and I am sure she will slap one on it.. but maybe not, it could turn into a gooy the duck situation (lol)
our kids are the same age, mine is so ready to get out and do the hunt with me and have his own real gun but the comprehension skills are a little lacking for him to pass the written test at hunters safety and I do not want him to get discouraged on a fail, so I am gonna wait until after next season to put him through for real.
He has sat in on an entire class and learned alot. I told him to take notes on things he didnt understand and we would review later. Was completly amazed about his indepth notes.
I followed your kids completion of H/E and his first kills last season through that other fourm I am banded from.
You ever get over this way often? I think you mentioned you had a customer in Maple falls area... I am helping build a real nice archery course you should come visit. I believe they have a 3D shoot right before the seasons start.
Nope not a puddler.........

Well I can happily say that no, I've never shot one before... Blackheads get a free pass over my decoys every time.
