I saw the Kowas down in AZ last year. They use them to find Coues deer.Although they make a mount, this was a homemade job. Something like 15 pounds including both spotters, mount and tripod. Not going to be carrying that setup far.
... Too many glass needs and not enough $$.
I was watching a tv hunting show the other day, and the guide had a pair of swarovski spotters mounted together. It looked legit the way he had it mounted, like they actually made a tripod adaptor for them. Always wondered if people did this. He looked like my 2 year old daughter looking through a pair of 15x56's.Any of you guys ever done this or seen it? I bet it would work pretty well ( if you could afford a $6-7000 setup.) I have an older leupold 20x60 gold ring spotting scope that I use strictly for lightweight packing. Its pretty lightweight and is an extra, so maybe I should try to pick up another one and put one of these rigs together. Hell, worse case I could go hillbilly style and mount my leupold next to an old nikon or something.
Have you taped the objective covers onto your edg binos yet? I have had mine fall off a few times.....that aside, they are pretty much THE standard imo.

I'm sure Nikon would send me a pair if I lost one. I wouldn't want to abuse their policy so I'd probably tape them on if it got to that point. What other high end binos have you been able to extensively compare them to so far? I only bought 'em because I saw this pair on CL for $600 I noticed in the Cabelas catalogue the new EDG spotting scope sells more than the Swarovski They must really think their glass is the shizzle, now.
