Well I guess I will through mine in the mix. This is my best ever buck I shot a couple of years ago. I have a great honey hole on private land and my success rate is pretty good. I have shot 9 deer in the last 11 years. This buck scores out to be 1/8th inch under 150.

Dads best blacktail was 128 I believe.

My best blacktail, scored something like 12.  It was a forked horn that had broken both antlers off at the fork making it a spike.   :chuckle:

Your dad's buck is ridiculous. Got any more pics of it? I love seeing big blacktails...

You bet here is some more photos, I edited out my dads face because he is weary of the internet haha.  The rack is huge, but so is the body look at his head and the neck..  Funny story behind this buck, we were in our stands, I saw this guy about 80 yards away but didn't notice how big it was, just thought ehh a nice deer.  So when we got out of our stands my dad wanted to call it a day and head home, I was like wait a sec, I saw something over in the trees that way. "looked big."  so we headed over there, setup and we could here the deer thrashing around a bit.  Dad let out a grunt and he charged in to 8 yards.  We both pulled back and it was a race to see who could let their arrow fly first.  My dad beat me  :chuckle:.  Would have been my first buck!  But hey he earned it, hes been hunting for about 30 years now, and this buck was his dream come true.

It was a heart shot at 8 yards! officially a 5x4, but has two little kickers that arguably make it a 6x5.  Had it not broken one of its eyeguards, and those kickers had another 8th inch it would have been a 6x6!

Another funny story,  In the same exact area, a few weeks later, I tagged my buck.  It was a forked horn that had broken off both antlers at the fork making it a spike.  One eye was completely poked out and sealed up, and it had a 3 inch gash on its chest and was limping pretty bad.  I think he tried to take on my dads buck before he was tagged.  A fight my buck probably shouldn't have even tried.

I ;ove to see huge blacktails. I would rather see a blacktail that scores 120 to 140 than a mulie or whitetail that scores 200
Remember that buck is climbing that Mt. every day!
