Nosler E-tip???
« on: July 08, 2015, 09:46:18 AM »
Anyone use this bullet on game animals??  If so what is your experience??

I am going to be working up a load for my wife's 7mm-08 and seriously considering using the 140 grain E-tip.  Rifle will be used for deer and elk (primarily elk).  I really like the reviews but would like to here from members that have experience (good or bad) with this bullet.

I also really like the price point on this ammo....not to mention it is readily available.  I have always been a partition fan but the cost is getting high and the availability is slim.

Thanks

jrebel

I haven't shot the etip but used the federal trophy copper. Too me its basically the same bullet so I'm assuming the same results. Used my 270win. With the federal trophy copper on my black bear an it didn't go no more than 20 yards, dumped all its energy inside an exited.

I got lucky and found some partitions in 140 grain, bought all 200 of them.  All I'm waiting for now is the brass.......I love me some partitions!!!!

With that said I may still load some e-tips to see how they shoot.

I've used the e-tip 180 grain in my 300 weatherby and have been quite pleased. One Canadian moose 7 African animals and two deer. My gun likes the e-tip but not the partioner or the barnes.
