Use the backside of your knife, scrape the sea lice off while you are at it.

Spray with a spray bottle, let sit for several minutes and rinse in cold water till slime is gone.

My dad and I got eight this morning. We clean them and put them on ice right after we get the lines back in the water and we never have any slim to deal with.

Just skin the fillets?
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Nail them to a plank and hit with the pressure washer. Just be careful, it can make a mess  :dunno:

I ALWAYS use a pump spray bottle with vinegar in it to spray on my humpies, then I take a dull bread knife and quickly scrape off the fish. Then I hose them down and start to fillet my catch.
All Humpies have the slime, even if you clean them right on the river. That slime is introduce to the meat of the fish if you don't get rid of it before you fillet the fish. You will be amazed at how much better and milder the humpy will taste if you get rid of the slime before you fillet.
I'm well into my 2nd. punch card on Humps, plus I have a couple of silvers to my record this year. :)

I take my salmon and lay them out in the grass, grab the hose and spray the scales off.  This also eliminates the bulk of any slime, the rest can be rinsed off when cleaning the filets.

I like to scale my fish as I hate getting scales in my mouth when eating smoked pinks or grilled other salmon.  The cool thing about using the hose is that it does not bruise the meat either.
