It looks down 6 plus ft so far, so far I'd guess no.

I fished yesterday on Banks.  Large mouth were easily caught.  :chuckle: :IBCOOL: The water is 2 ft below the cement at Coulee play land.  About 30 feet down total.  Very difficult launch.  The causeway is almost two shallow.  Fishable lake still but caution is needed and a 4x4 for the launch.

Here's a couple of pics of the boat basin at Coulee City and along the highway leaving Coulee City last weekend.

Holy crap.....thats low.

Time to go and look for some lost gear... :chuckle:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

So this is for maintenance?
I bet the fishing is going to suck for the next few years?

Signs posted on the road down to the Barker Canyon access in July stated that the road would be closed.  Don't remember the exact date on the closure though.

If they leave it down long enough for vegetation to grow on the mud flats then re-flood it, it should replenish the reservoir with new nutrients and fishing should flourish imo.

I think this is going to destroy the fish that require vegetation to survive. How is a small fry going to avoid getting eaten by the many walleye and bass? I think its going to concentrate all the fish and destroy all the small ones.

The people at Coulee Playland don't think the fishing has recovered since the last drawdown in '94.
