I'd be forgetting the deer and looking for that big bull.  Scrapes kind of look like bear to me....but I am far from an expert

I don't think the elk stay there come modern elk, though i have never hunted them up there I tried last year but there was about a foot of snow on the road heading up there.

The camera is at about 5500ft.

If the scrapes were bear i would think there would be four parrel claw mark's? That and it was only about a foot from the ground.

Its cool that you got pictures the first time you set it out. I set mine out over the weekend and all of the pictures I got at night were all black (don't know why), and the day ones were just of moving branches  :bash: About the scrape though I really doubt it was a bear because the bear scrape I seen had parrell claw mark.

Is that "the Judge" revolver?
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5
