Hunting w/ a DP
« on: August 21, 2011, 07:21:01 PM »
I am going to be taking my neighbor hunting with me this year. He is an older guy and in his twilight years but still has some reasonable mobility. he walks his little poodle twice a day but has had some major surgeries over the years. Anyway, he was able to get a DP license from the state as well as a crossbow enhancement.
Any recomendations on how to help him have a great hunt? I have never hunted with anyone that has had this tag and am not really sure what if any "benefits" I should look into for him. He has years of experience in South Dakota but WA is a different can of worms. I have heard about getting access to certain areas which is great.
Also, do I need to stay with him or can I just get him setup somewhere and leave him be?

There should be a letter with his packet saying what the partner can and cannot do..... It gives right to the person hunting with them to legaly shoot the game but you have to have a hunting Lic. as well.........
Elk 23 for 30 but whos counting!
My son out did me his first year out at 13! 5x5 missed the book by 1 1/8" and Yeh I am proud of him!
