H20, what a heck of an offer, honestly i am proud to share a forum, state and country with fellows like you. as well as serve for true americans like yourself! i would take you up on the offer but am still on deployment, if you ever feel like going again i would be more then happy to throw in for fuel or bring food. i hope someone takes you up on this and X2 on the wounded worrior program being excellent, i have had a few friends that have worked with the program with nothing but good results! thanks for reminding all of us what true patroitism looks like!

Just a quick bump. So far I've got Mark_436 lined up and ready to go but has asked to put active duty/on leave ahead of him in the running. I plan on locking Mark in if no other takers.

Well, we came, we fished, we slayed the humpys.

Mark met me at the dock this morning got settled in and off we went. A little foggy during the run but vis wasn't to bad. We passed by the flotilla and got lines down around 7:30. Only took about 10 minutes for the first fish on call out. We began the familiar routine of whack one, lose one, whack a double, lose one. By 9 am we looked around and realised we were pretty close to the limit. One hanging on the rope bleeding and two in the net from the 3rd or 4th double. Got the gear and all the fished squared away and marked and did a little jigging. Mark had a nice one next to the boat on the jig but popped it. Pretty easy going when we lose one and can expect a hook up within a few minutes or so. We jigged a bit and decided to put the birds back in the water and look for that last fish. I was expecting a long haul, you know how it is with the last fish...it can take forever. This time it took about 5 minutes. Fish on...fish off. Oh well, here let me just run it back down. I start dropping the ball and look up to see a fish going ape behind the boat. It takes a second to realise that it has a white flasher and pink hoochie hanging from its mouth. Rod comes back out, line gets tight, and Mark starts to put the screws to it. Pretty quick battle and the fish is in the net. We take a look at it and realise...no spot...silver baby. Finished up with seven pinks and one silver. Mark will now be spoiled on salmon fishing. It was a good trip and it was a pleasure to take him out.

H20-  What a very nice gesture on your part for sure....  Not sure if you know about it or not there is a program at Ft Lewis called the "Wounded Warrior Program".  Where there is a coordinator that will line up wounded soldiers to go on exactly these types of adventures.  I do not have the number but see if I can find it.  It really boast their morale and help them adjust back to a normal life enjoying things they thought they had lost due to injury.   I'll see what I can find on the number, not just for this but maybe we can get a group of boat owners together and do something as a whole--would be pretty cool for sure...  I would love to participate in a group setting but just do not have time to coordinate the event with starting a new job recently up north, the total opposite way of the bases...

Like Mike, I to am a disabled serviceman and would absolutly love to join up with a group to take some servicemen past and present out, I don't have a huge boat but don't seem to have too much trouble catching humpies or silvers, The silver season opens up for any silver in Sekiu long about the 19th of September I think, and that would be a really good time to get a group of boats and a bunch of servicemen together and slay some salmon, I'd love to do that, I'd even drag my 5ver out so someone has a place to call home for the weekend.

Lets plan something, if nothing else I'll donate my time to help clean fish and boats and make some lunches or whatever !!!
