I bought one of these last winter. I use it all the time. The only feature for this relatively cheap price range that it is missing is a switch lock. In the daypack, I just reverse one of the batteries. I really like the dim/bright features. -even more than some of the more pricey units. 70 lumen is middle of the road I guess, but at this price is one of the brightest 'best bang for the buck'.

Trick... Some of, many of these lights are lexan lens, or just plastic. To keep the lens 'scratch resistant', put a piece of scotch or blue masking tape across it. I just peal it off, and tape under the unit to use it.

Can't find my Black Diamond in the catalogs anymore.   3AAA's on the back.   1 soft blue LED that's enough to do most camp chores/read.  1 bright white LED more than enough to navigate pitch black woods.  30$?

Had some 'toughness' problems with the princetontec's, covers breaking...

I just got me a black diamond 100 lumen. Love it. Had a petzl tikka. Like this better. Super bright.

I buy any 20 dollar or less lamp that will do the job and will use 2 AAA batteries.  When I lost my expensive one I got pissy everytime I put on my cheap one.  After loosing two more I feel better putting on my cheap lamp. 

Anything LED last lot longer then the bulb.  They also never go out.
