Had my trail cam stolen this weekend up in the Granite Falls area.  I just can't believe that someone would be that low to snag it.  My two little girls loved to see what "critters" we capatured.  Guess it is a sign of the world we live in.  Why buy something if I can steal it.  Respect and honor are things folks forget when nobody is watching.  In my eyes someone that steals a trail cam is on the same level of taking an amimal from a trap.  Yes, when it was legal to trap in this state…..

I hope the lazy *censored* enjoys it!

You're right brother..My world has no place for thieves either..I lost mine this year up in the Whiteriver area and there is a huge violation factor that wants ya to lash out hard on somebodies dumb arse if you ever catch them monkeying around with your stuff again.

My trail camera got messed around with last friday a few hours before I got there. I went to check it and it was loose on the tree but luckily my upper screw held. I checked the card and there was a picture of what looked like part of a hand. Not sure what I would have actually done if I would have walked in on him messing with it but I sure know what I would have WANTED to do.

I feel I've been lucky. My cam is well boxed and secure to the tree. I have only had one person mess with it and it was pretty harmless. I'll be pulling mine at the end of the month and closing my threads down. I've got a new location in mind and will start a new thread on Jan 1 with a new location. I often wondered what would happen if I was sitting in my little nook and somebody came up to the cam and started in on it. I think just seeing me stand up, full camo, beard all askew, .45 on my hip (holstered and secure) would be enought to give them some serious pucker factor.

Treat them like they NEED to be treated.. Picture a famous clip right out of deliverance..I think we all know the one!! If you are a dirt bag who has bad intentions with other peoples property and get caught, you will be a long way from help and you should expect to be "demeaned" in ways only imagined by the inner rage of people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired  ..  When its all said and done and your laying there confused  :dunno:you can rewind the tape of the last 2 hours of your life and see clearly how you ended up in that mess..It won't be worth it...I promise you... Don't do it..Throw up the peace sign and move on

OINK OINK.... that man would find out what a fir bough could do...  like i have said a dozen times on here the only thing worse than a thief is a rapist petyfyle. its terrible that people just cant keep their dick beaters off of stuff that dont belong to them.... i am afraid that had i been sittn in that stand when that dude came by i would have had to fire off a "get the hell outta dodge or the next one is gonna be in your spine" shot... guarantee he would be lookn for new underwear when he got to his pick up

In reality I would avoid confrontation as I bet most would, it is easy to be a internet tough guy.  Yesterday I was leaving my office at 4:20 and right in front of my window where I park I catch a guy trying to break into my car.  His hand couped around his face while pressed up against the tinted window peeking in with his other hand jerking on the door handle.  I gave a quick thought of whether i confront as he scuttles away swiftly.  Yes I have my .380 Walther with me which even more so makes me lean towards not confronting him.  Meth heads are rampant in felony flats where my office is and the last think I need to be doing is getting in a confrontation when I am armed. 
I follow him North on Post street at a distance that conceals me and watch him look into 4 more vehicles until I lost him when he took a turn on Augusta.  I did report this to crime check with a detailed description but there is no priority on this sort of thing here in Spokane and especially in Felony Flats.
I did get a kick out of the black shirt he was wearing that said F.B.I. in bold white letters on the back.

I don't think I could've resisted putting a .45 round into a nearby tree with that guy messing with my camera.  I'm pretty sure that a "shot fired across the bow" would deter him from ever attempting another camera theft.

As an aside, its getting to the point that there are SO MANY of these cameras in the woods, a guy doesn't feel safe answering natures call without getting photographed in the act. Though unintentional, it's starting to be an invasion of privacy.

I like the reasonable expectation of privacy out in the forest but I've already about been photographed el flagrante once. Not sure what I would do if I knew that I had been captured on camera. Just a thought.

ive gotin lucky so far not had a cam took yet but i did have a guy walk up to 1 of my cams and turned the damn thing upside down then 2 weeks later the same guy comes back and turns it side ways  it did make for some cool pics

We had a camera stolen off one of our properties a week after we put it out and so we put up a sign saying that we had caught them on another camera and the pictures were turned into the police. Went back two weeks later and the sign was torn down.  I sure hope I never see that guy on the property. it wont be pretty
