Lost a camera- set for a research project in NE washington
« on: August 24, 2011, 03:31:12 PM »
I had a camera stolen from Mill Creek (unit 113- Pend Oreille County) this week.  I had it set on a two week soak over a stink set for grizzly bears.  The camera is set to help us confirm bear species before sending hair samples (caught on a single strand of barbed wire) in for testing/analysis.  We did get some hair on the snage, now we need to decide if we should send it in and cough up the $$$ for that testing.  If anyone hears about a strange set in the woods and someone snagging the camera, see if you can get me those pictures!!  PLEASE!!!

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

With any luck, you'll find your camera and some human bones in a pile of Grizzly poop.  :chuckle:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

x2
I just cannot fathom why people take things that are not theirs. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Gets my blood boiling.

Wonder if you put your info (address/phone/e-mail) inside the camera case if would make it more personal and cut down on theft??

To include a comment that says "if you have taken this camera, please return photos as they are part of a research project".  And if they return the photos, you have the contact information by which to pursue it further.  Some criminals are dumb enough to forward the photos and leaving themselves traceable.

That's actually my plan...I'm going to fix a research label to them and hope that the people that find them have enough decency to leave it be.
