Arteman and Machias I fully agree with your comments.

I would emphasize that some dogs are particularly bad at taking back tracks and its good to weed them out because they will drag other dogs with them and encourage the problem.
Americans are systematically advocating, legislating, and voting away each others rights. Support all user groups & quit losing opportunity!

Oh how I miss hunting my dogs .

Seemed to me halfway descent dogs are always able to figure out when they are on the backtrack. Usually get it turned around in a minute or 3.

And the only time I ever used the shock collar is when they do something bad like run a yote or deer. I didnt have that many issues with this as I took care of it at a good year old. Never shocked a young dog till he was running well on track and treeing if I could help it. Right or wrong, I dont know but thats how I did it??
