Do you guys cover the feathers when hunting?  I had a guide in Africa claim the only thing that spooked the animals were my bright fletchings.  I attacked them with a black sharpie at the time, and have hunted with black and red ever since.  Anybody else noted that the fletching color matters in the quiver?  Very nice for watching the arrow, but can be bright when there are 4 - 6 in a row in the quiver.

Black and red are some of the most camo of the colors believe it or not.  Sometimes painfully so if you are trying to find your arrow after a pass through.

Never cover them for that.   Have had issues in nasty rain or wet slot.   That will change your trajectory a ton!

I used to use an arrow cover booty I made myself.  Forgot to take it off once and all my fletchings were bent over.   :chuckle:  I really have not noticed if the bright fletchings hurt or not.  Normally my problem is shifting wind or noisy ground that gives me away.   :bash:  This is the first time I am using wraps though.

I was shooting these before.

I think color like pink and blue would be really good for contrast.

I cover my arrows in my hip quiver and only leave one out. For hunting i can not stand dark colors. Target shooting is one thing, but in a hunting situation finding your arrow can mean the difference in finding out if you hit the animal or not. So bright colors are a must on all my hunting arrows

Okay, I'm still kinda new to archery.  What are wraps and what's their purpose?

I used these one year! I got to much crap from my hunting buddies for the pink, so I have since switched to neon green! :chuckle:

Sounds kind of fishy how many of you like pink. What happens at Elk camp stays at Elk camp, right? :chuckle:                          2 neon green and 1 fluorescent orange for me.
