New Deer Hunter/New to WA
« on: August 28, 2011, 08:28:12 AM »
Well I am really interested in deer hunting in Eastern Washington. I moved here last year, I am active duty Air Force and carry a gun everyday...So I am more than safe when it comes to firearms. I have been checking a few places out that I would like to hunt (modern firearms) preferably GMU 130 deer area 1070. However, my hunting partner for this year is sitting in the sandbox on a deployment. If anyone is interested in having a hunting (not watching) partner let me know. I will supply all of my own items, may need some tuteledge when it comes time for gutting and cleaning...Used to shoot racoons and rabbitts, huge difference. Just want to say thanks to anyone who considers if nothing else some good contacts would be nice.

Give it a little time timfranseen there are a lot of good people on this site and I am sure you will get a response.

Thank you for your service to our great country...I really mean that from the bottom of my heart and soul. I am of no help to you....I have never hunted GMU 130 or  deer area 1070. If you don't tag out by November...go North to whitetal country for the late M. F. season, I am more then willing to shoot you in the right direction for some good hunting.

Tell your brothers across the pond to stay safe, There are a lot more people thinking about them then they may realize. Good luck. Oh....and welcome to the best hunting site on the web.  :chuckle:
Just one more day

Wecome timfranseen.   :hello: Thanks for your sevice bud. I am glad your home safe. You boys and your families are always in our hearts and minds and we just can't thank you enough for all you do in the service of our great country.

We'll be hunting in eastern Wa. again this year. A few in our camp can't make it this year so there is plenty of room in our camp. We havn't quite nailed down what exact GMU we are hunting this year. We will be going after Mulies though. We are not really big whitetail fans in our camp. We like to go after the big boys whenever possible. We have a few productive areas we have scouted, now its time to wait and see where it looks like everyone else in the forum is going and make sure we don't go there.   :chuckle: :chuckle: Hoping for a not so crowded area. We were actually thinking about paying an outfitter for a drop camp this year to eliminate most of the work of getting into the backcountry so we spend more time hunting and having fun if we find enough guys to come along.  Let me know if you'd like to join us. Sounds like you'd be a welcome breath of fresh air in our camp.

Be fun to have you in unit 124 (North Spokane, white tails), but I'll only be in town after Turkey day for late archery. Good luck with your deer season.
