Need you bear experts advice ( trail camera pic added)

I have never really spent the time to learn about bears to much but have always have bought a tag just incase I came across one, I recently have been doing some research but these books still have not really told me anything.
Yesterday some friends and I went out to a private piece of property  that only I and one other friend have the key to. We went out there to make  our duck blinds and our own rifle range. While we were out there I saw a pretty nice bear track by the lake. well while we were looking  for a good place to put some blinds, there he was a huge black bear 50 yards infront me. He stood up and was taller than me , I am 6'1". He took off as he should . My question is do you think he is gone or do you think he will still be around? Are they teritorial?

I'm not a bear expert, but I'll throw in some observations.  They are territorial.  They like to crap on trails and roads to mark that territory, because bears like to keep using the same trails.  As long as there is food and not too much hunting pressure I'd guess it is still around.

Thats good to know, Hopefully I will have a bear here soon.. He virtually has no pressure unless he goes off this 500 acres, We were shooting there the last three weekends and he was there  this weekend gonna give him a week to get comfortable.

I am sure he will be back. Friends of mine have kinda patterened bears. I have also read that a lot of times they have a route. Visiting spots every few days so setting up a trail cam may help to locate the times he seems to be there.

What is keeping him there now....food wise? If there is easy chow there and not all around, he will stick. If he punted off and will be eating well without pressure elsewhere, good luck. It does sound like you have a good bear blind now....lol.

Since you said something about a duck blind. He might be using the area for water. Water and food will hold them in a area for awhile. Without any pressure, if they have those things they won't go far. Might travel a little unless there is also good cover close by.

 The area has a very large wooded area on one side of the lake and on the other there are fruit trees and a ton of blackberry bushes and rasberry bushes with a occasional huckleberry plant. It has open fields as well. in the field there are a couple well defined trails all over.. Basically picture  what some of Ft. lewis looks like but noone has used the property  for 10 years and it is behind gates.. There is plenty of deer activity too

all about food...if there isnt food they will move..they are not like deer..they can wander hundreds of miles

Went out to find that bear today, I had no luck.. I did a more detailed survey of the property and am super excited. I saw bear track everywhere, Tore up trees all over, and alot of poop, I put up some trail cameras so we will see what happens. Here are some pics.
The last pic is his path thru the feild, very well used

Width of paw in inches plus one is roughly how many feet the bear is.  So if that track is 5 inches wide, it would be about a 6 foot bear.  Good luck with that bear.

I went in today to look at my trail cams and also see if I can find that bear. I had two cameras put up  well one of them disappeared. I looked around I found the straps, The were all chewed up. My buddy and I looked for about an hour could not find the camera. How far will a bear take one you think?    Gonna go back and look again tommorrow or monday.. Thing that sucks is the camera that is gone was a nice expensive one and it was borrowed.
I did get one pic of the bear on the other camera found a new track and brought a tape measure.. 5 3/4 wide..

If his pad is 5 3/4 across then you have a solid bear.
