Another fee being thrown out for hunting snows, Brant, sea-ducks and band-tailed pigeons.  $13.50 authorization fee + $0.50 dealer per license.  I wonder what these fees actually go towards?  All the various fees are adding up.
Cut em!

Is that $13.50 per card?  Most of us waterfowlers are wealthy and can afford it right?  Just another scam to gouge the outdoorsman.

It sounds like one $13.50 fee then $0.50 fee per license.  I will find out on Sept. 1st.

I usually hunt just snows anyhow but may not again since part of their management plan is to keep snow goose numbers down to half of what they were 2 or 3 years ago  :bash:

OH HELL NO! :o another *censored* fee created to participate in washington's great out doors.... meanwhile there are a bazillion A-hole bicyclists swarming through the highways sidewalks and road systems with out paying a dime!  if the state wants to rack up some money they should create a bicycle permit and license, and hell while they are at it make a drive through tax for all the people burning gas while standing in line for a burger... :hello:

there has got to be more ways to create money than to soak people for something as fundamental as hunting and fishing or even beach combing -ala discover pass-  The system is broken, time for a new one.

Here's the version I was told.  It is $12 PER PERMIT + the transaction fee.  :bdid: What does the future hold for Washington waterfowlers....Hmmmm? I can see it now.  $1 Permits per mallard, $2 for a Pintail and $5 for a Redhead or Can, $6 per goose.  Way to commercialize hunting Washington State, so proud to be a resident of such a fine State.  Where's the smiley with the finger to the world?

This was how I read the card I got as it went into the recycle bin.  Wonder how much the postcards cost the state?

Picked up the sea duck and snow goose cards last year. Every once in awhile we ended up getting lucky with one or the other. Not this year  :bash:

The card I received in the mail said these new fees would be used to help pay for bird surveys. I would feel a lot better about it if these funds were being used for habitat enhancement or new hunter access areas. At least then we would see some real benefit for the added fees. Wdfw reminds me of all other government entities that just keep raising fees to support the bureaucracy BS  and give less and less back to those footing the bill.

WOW!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Pretty soon it's cost effective to hunt in other states with better odds of success. The state is like the stupid business person who starts to lose customers so raises prices and loses more customers and then raises prices again to make up for more lost customers. To stupid to figure it out.

You also need it to hunt canadian geese in 2a/2b, other than the september hunt. Like we don't have to put up with enough BS hunting the permit zone, now we have to buy a special permit to hunt it 3 days a week. Alberta here I come next year, $78 for a 6 day license, 20 snows, 8 canadians and 8 ducks a day. This state sucks!
