I was able to get drawn for a bull tag down in the mudflow. Did research and scouting. My truck started acting up on me with losing coolant and and over heating. Last weekend I was almost home and I found the cause. It was a pin hole leak in my radiator hose. I figured I fixed the problem, but today I ran to town and the darn thing started to over heat on me again. Just a little over a week left to elk season and I have to work 4 of them. Ill do a couple checks but I am pretty sure its head gasket. 3.0 liter toyota's a notorious for em. Really frusterated but what can I do.

Borrow a buddy and his truck for the weekend??????  Sorry, but a bum truck engine would not keep me away from hunting that mudflow....
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

:yeah: or at least buy an el cheapo walmart deluxe tent for 20 bucks. Get a 4 man and it will be alot more comfortable then trying to sleep in the runner. You gotta do this tag justice

if your not feeling a power loss i would pull the thermostat and bring some extra water with you. thermostat is right up front and youll just need a little rtv to re seal it. i have the same motor only i have a pu not the runner. at least thats what i would do in your situation. should get you through the trip. just dont drive it if you dont have to while your out there. the more times you hot and cold it the faster it will quit if it has a bad gasket.
they call me the bloodhound cause i can track a wounded animal in the rain for 2 days when all it has is a splinter.. sniff sniff awooo

Don't miss that hunt.  I have been scouting it as well.  I have the Mudflow tag.  Lots of animals.  I am heading down on the 5th.  I would get a small rental car and pay for the damage deposit.  :chuckle:
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
