Unconfirmed sighting Newman/Hauser area this AM

My son was in the area this AM, said there was a lot of police activity near the stateline.  A trucker said they were keeping tabs on a fairly large pack of wolves.  Has anybody heard about this?

Took me a little bit to figure out that its SE wa your talking about... no i have not heard about it..

Sorry.  Newman and Hauser lakes are just east of Spokane.  There have been sightings of lone wolves in the area, but never a pack. 

From a 2009 newspaper column

just learned today, that a breeding pair of Wolves was frequently seen in Hidden Valley, which lies north of Hwy 53 and south of Hauser lake, last winter.

I drive by there everyday......I pulled over for the sheriff to go by about 7:45 yesterday morning.

The Elk herd that ranges the stateline area has really grown the last couple of years. It would not suprise me to see a wolf in that area.
