well to all my good buddies out there If I really really wanted to go down in that freakin hole like I have so many times the party would be over .... The only thing is I want my youngest to whack one since he has not yet ...and I have some serious BS for ya but I seriously doubt you will believe me anyway ... but here it is ....1st I get to my spot and it is fogged in heavy and as soon as it lifts there he is ...NICE ONE ... about 325 below us so I told Teddy the only way your shooting is if he comes up the hill another 100 yrds...I know he could make the shot but you only see these bear for seconds and you need to be on it and be prepair to shoot quick ... well the bear went down the hill ...which usually in the morning they are feeding up ....So what I am saying in another 5 to 10 days it should be awesome ... we never saw any blueberries in my area which it is usually polluted with them but on the other side of the mountain from where I hunt we saw a few So I think they will be late at least I hope so ...Now after all of this happing we are headed home around 1 pm and we are flying down the road and I happened to look up this driveway and I about wreck ...YES A FREAKIN COUGAR !!! NO SHEET !! I lock them up and back up and he is gone ...so I whip in the driveway knock on the peoples door and they are not home ...so I run over to the next neighbors and she is on the porch and I tell her a coug just came out of your yard and was in the neighbors driveway ...she says ALL MY God !! we have ben hearing these loud screams the last 2 nights and it is so load it wakes us up !!! So you tell me ... I told her it is 2 things one it could of got kicked off by the mother or lost and was screaming or its in heat ....not 100% sure but it is not going anywhere....I gave her my number in case it comes back ...but I am sure its this years kitten ....now as far as the bear I got killer video and those pictures were from 300 + So i did the best I could ... dont worry one will be dieing soon  :chuckle: I mean son ...in 2 days being out I have seen some sheet ...big bulls - 4 bear- couple deer- and a cougar .....Totally crazy  :yeah:

sacried grounds ! there has been many bear deaths of this mountain ...325 yrds to the timber line ... once in awhile I get an easy 200 yrd shot but not much !!!and you only have seconds to get it done because they are here and gone in no time ....

Nice! Your "sweet spot" looks awfully close to a hidden little spot Archery288 and myself stumbled upon a couple of weeks ago.   :chuckle:   Whoever's spot it was had a couple cozy lawn chairs and a nice shooting bench already set up. It was a nice spot though, we sat on it for half the day battling the fog. Never saw a bear though.

One of those photos looks like mighty steep country.

What the heck stops the bear once it's rolling downhill? The bottom?

It's been 11 days since you started this thread, and on your OP claimed it would be "Concluded tommorrow", well tommorow has come and gone son..... :chuckle:

Well, I killed a bear with my 270 short mag last weekend.  First time out with that rifle.  I was shooting factory 150 grain noslers.  Smoked that bear!  I was more than impressed... :)
