Panasonic DMC Fz18
« on: June 23, 2008, 05:58:30 PM »
Hey guys think I am going to pick up a new camera since I broke mine and have decided on getting the fz18. I only have one question though, I live and do most my hiking on the west side and was wondering what you guys or gals do to keep it dry when your out shooting? Is there a better camera for wetter situations?

Thanks

depends on what you want out of the camera.
there are some waterproof point and shoot digitals, but the the photo quality is not there, nor is the zoom ability.
i leave mine in a pouch till i need it when it's raining, or i just don't take it i guess if it's really raining.
you could put a plastic bag over it as has been mentioned in other threads, but some water is inevitable.
