Sleeves rolled up military style, military style hair cut, military camo? :dunno: I'm guessing retired/active military officer thinking he's above having to wear orange and who knows what else. :twocents: Who else would go hunting in the snow in short sleeves and no hat? Not me.

That's cool but raising topics like legality of carrying a rifle in the woods is asking to have more rights stripped. Questioning one guy in the woods with a rifle opens the door to question all. Whereas the destroyed cam is an actual thing.

It's like trespass if you catch a person trespassing the why of it is just a way to muddy an obvious offense.

Theft another one that gets muddied with the whole drug issue and instead of dealing with the theft you get told it's all because of drugs. And don't think the people on the wrong side don't know and use the muddy waters to continue.
Doesn't matter that he has a big game rifle and is out during deer season.  That's not relevant.  At best he's a scofflaw without orange.  More likely, he's a dirtbag thief and a vandal.
He could be wearing berkenstocks and nothing else.  Wouldn't change that he's on film looking at something that looks like an SD card.

I guess the issue is for me I don't actually know anything so if I am to be convinced it would sure help to know.

Where is this land.
Is it private or public.
Is the time and date stamp in the image accurate so often they are not.
Was there a modern deer season or elk open on that ground.
Was it bear season.
Was he a trapper
Was he a target shooter
Was he out simply stealing SD cards

There is a ton of I do not know.

From what's been shared one person lost their cam and thus guy was on the saved data.  That's all I actually know the rest is a bunch of supposition.

Not a perfect picture but at least the card was left after it was looked at.

This trail cam should stop . it is getting out of control.  This is what i have seen. people have multiple cams ,some you don't even have to go to  check. This year i have seen 6 times the hunters  in an area because of what  is on the cam. Is this fair hunting for the game?
Stealing isn't right but what is being done isn't right in my opinion.

How do you know what's on "the" camera? And why there are 6 times as many hunters?

I get what you are saying. Dont know if I agree, but it reminds me of a story.

I wanna say it was !982-83. I was 12 and my buddies dad was going to take me and another buddy, along with his son fishing. We loaded the 10' Livingston in the back of his Ford and the 4 of us crowded onto the bench seat(seatbelts...pffft). Anyways, the conversation got onto depthfinders and this was about the time when the screen model was coming about to replace the old round flasher type, showing a "picture" of the water column and the bottom. My buddies dad thought that was cheating, not sporting at all and thought it was an unfair advantage. Instead of "learning" the lake by putting the TIME in to drop anchor and bait at different locations to learn the lake, a guy could just motor around and watch a screen.

Trail cams. Instead of making multiple trips to "learn" the terrain and nature of the animal being hunted, you put some cameras up.

You still have to catch the fish and shoot the animal though.

Please start another thread if you want to discuss the "fairness" of using trail cams.  This thread is for pictures of people recorded on cams.
