Where I came from we built tree stands with screws, nails, and lag bolts etc. we would use the stands year after year. It did not seem to kill or hurt the trees. We used screw in tree steps too. We never really gave it a second thought. I think it is a little bit over the top to think that a couple lag bolts in a tree will kill it. My dad had a small wood lot in Minnesota and we used screw in tree steps, we did not worry about it and I don't think we killed any trees.I have a tree stand on a 5 acre piece I own. It is nailed in there with 8" spikes. It's been there for about 6 or 7 years. No problems so far.Is there a law regarding this?
Dan was always a good guy to me..
In other news, two beaver caught on camera. Inside joke.
Nothing new? I know I should be on a couple from late archery season.
