Archery in Manashtash
« on: August 30, 2011, 12:55:05 PM »
Has anyone here had any luck with archery gear in the Manashtash unit?  I was thinking about trying it out for day before heading up to deer camp on Blewett.

I floated the Yakima river on Sunday and saw about 3 or 4 deer and some bighorn sheep on the hillside.  Too bad I don't have a tag for one of those rams.

All of the local units sick for deer untill the late season then u see em, the cowiche and nile are the bigger producers then.. personally i dont even bother wth em in the lower elevations just because its hotter down here than up in the mtns. Running a risk of ruining the meat.

Not like the days of old.   You'll see more snakes than deer.    I'm not sure about access now either.  Alot of it has been cut off with recent road closures.
