trophy ridge judge mounting?
« on: August 30, 2011, 08:24:31 PM »
I just put the judge sight on my bow the other day, it seems to perform as it is said to! my question is what is the difference of mounting the sight closer or farther away from hunter? there is several holes to mount it further or closer i chose closer to the hunter simply because, it looked similar to the sight that came on the bow! but i just realized i didnt like that pos sight lol so what should i do or is it preference?

the farther it is away the closer your pins will be together, the closer in it is the more spread out they will be. it will also change how much of the sight you can see through your peep. if you play around you can mount it closer in with a bigger peep and have better field of view. but you might run in to a problem if you have a 7 pin with not being able to drop the last pin enough. you'll just have to find what works for you. but i like mine all the way out with a large sight ring sight and a large 1/4inch hole peep giving me good field of view and lots of pin adjustment room.
they call me the bloodhound cause i can track a wounded animal in the rain for 2 days when all it has is a splinter.. sniff sniff awooo

You said it.  " Follow your arrows",  Just like your sight.  The farther away your sight is the bigger your pin gap.  If you do that,  look how big your pins/peep are... It makes a difference....

I think it is easier to make precise adjustments the farther away the site is also.
