reflex sight recos for AR
« on: August 31, 2011, 10:03:07 AM »
hi everyone,

I'd like to get a reflex sight for my AR, but I really don't want to pay ~$400+ for eotech or aimpoint.  Not sure I can swing that by the Mrs, who doesn't like my AR to begin with.  :)  Any recommendations on other brands of decent quality scopes and places to buy them?  Or is everything below that price point poor quality?

thanks in advance for the advice!

From what I have read, these are some of the best knock offs.

For a guy on a budget i would go with the burris fast fire.

Docter Optic made the original micro reflex site and burris has the closest copy at the best price.

I see guys using both of these on drive hunts all the time(short fast running shots).

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

i'm seeing a lot more acog's than eotechs down here. probably 10 to 1. Maybe it's just the units that I am working with. air force is getting aimpoints now.

Increased average engagement rang in Astan is the reason for that. Iraq is (was) exactly the oposite the other way. One nice thing the army has realized in the last ten years is one size doesn't fit all when it comes to weapons set-up.
