Wolf or Cougar?

Just curious but would you rather hunt wolf or cougar?  Which method and why?

Cougar.  Because I would eat the meat and I'd love to watch the dogs work and do their stuff.

Wolf, I won't eat the meat, so I'd rather not hunt them.  I'd love to be able to shoot one though if it came by while I'm out deer or elk hunting. :twocents:

Cougar.  No other animal in WA is as cool as a cougar in my opinion.  I would be just as excited just to call one in as killing one.

Cougar are also so elusive.  I've hunted WA state for almost 40 years now and only seen 1 cougar.  I've seen a few wolves.  There are far more cougars than wolves, but yet I've seen more wolves. :o  For me it would just be more rewarding and a better trophy to have a cougar.  A full size cougar mount would look really cool in the house, but I just can't say that about a wolf for some reason............

Cougar with hounds!!!!  Love that noise. Although I think it would be very satisfying to put a hole through a wolf that I saw chasing game, for that matter any wolf.

Cougar hands down. Would love to finally put one down that I called in. I botched a couple of good opportunities and now it's getting personal.  :chuckle:

i would have to pick the wolf becuase like others i have whacked some cats, and i havent ever even seen a wolf in the wild, but i also wouldnt eat it and i have never eatn cougar meat either, it sure would be nice to hear dogs workn a cougar and then start treeing, no better sound in the world that a pack of hounds trailing a cat and then switching to their treeing bark... LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

As eager as I am to get a lion, I would have to say a WOLF, before they put them back on "The list". A must for me in 2012

Yeah, cougar hands down. Instead of trying to call them in just get a good dawg! They're real good at running down cougars.  :chuckle:

 :yeah:

Is a wolf tag good for an entire wolf pack?  :chuckle: I want wolves dead to protect deer & elk. I'd far rather have a cougar mount, though.

Cougar with out a doubt, Why because they are magnificent. I would love to hunt them with dogs, but would take it any way I could get it. I have only seen Cougars 2 times in all my time in the woods. But for sure many more of them have seen me!  :chuckle:

Cougar, with dogs.  Would love to kill a big old Tom.

Cougar first and then a pack of wolves to back up the cougar.  Wolves do not need to be getting anymore plentiful in this state.
