sheep
« on: August 24, 2011, 04:51:15 PM »
I was fortunate to have drawn the Southcentral Multi species permit this year(sheep, elk, deer). Anybody know about sheep in Selah Butte, Cleman, Umtanum, or Teiton?

Congrats on the draw!  That's awesome. I don't know much about those units except for plenty of sheep in Yakima Canyon in October and November. Search the forums. Plenty of info on here. Keep us updated on the hunt!

Some great rams in both Clemans and Tieton units.  Know both areas pretty well, seen some bruisers in both units.

I day dreamed a lot about this raffle and I thought I would wait for cooler weather and then hunt up on Clemans or wait till the sheep have their winter coats and look around Oak Creek.

I met Bob  , He's a great guy and really knows what he's got . We have spent some time looking in the elk areas and have seen some smaller bulls  but not a shooter . We know the area to be and expect great things in a coupple of weeks.  We went over and saw some rams and come the rut it  should be a blast . No doubt it sould  be a year to remember and you should see my truck  it looks camo'd .Coach

It has been a lot of fun hunting with you coach. I appreciate all your help and advice. You have definitly helped formulate a plan of attack that will increase the probabiity of bagging some real trophies. Time to get er done. See you next week.
