Fishing around Raymond
« on: September 01, 2011, 06:07:30 AM »
My 12 yr old Daughter and I drew cow elk tags for s. of Raymond. What rivers around there are good for salmon and steelhead from now through the end of December, our tags are for Dec. 16th through the 31st. I well be down scoutting too. Is there any good plunking holes? My daughter isn't good at casting so I thought plunking would be good for her.
Thanks

You will be right next to the willipa and it has good steelhead fishing and the salmon are being caught in there now.

short answer:  all of them!

long answer:  try the north. it gets steelhead and salmon, and i've always heard it's a plunking show down around the mouth.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

PA BEN, are you staying down here at that time or driving back and forth. When it the time gets closer I will try and help you out on both for places to hunt and fish.

PA BEN, not to sure where to pitch a tent. I will keep asking around, the local fairgrounds is located in Menlo which is in the area you will be hunting, might be an option. they also have showers available there.
