Quote from: elkonastick on October 13, 2011, 10:01:43 PMif i had the same hunting rights as natives i would without a doubt keep a generous amount of meat in the freezer, i cant get mad at somebody for doing something that they are allowed to do. a native can wake up in his house to coffee that was set to brew at the same time his alarm went off, warm up the truck and grab his rifle and swarovski optics then head off to their ancestors hunting grounds 100 miles away. it will take about an hour and a half to get there maybe 2 if they stop for gas and a mcgriddle, charge the cell phone on the way and crank the tunes, holding on to that native way of life right? natives should never be told how to manage game on the reservations but it is total BS to let them have free reign to go pop a big bull in the collockum and sell the horns when i have to pay up just to put my name in a hat and then get a not selected post card year after year. to give them more rights then i have because my ancestors did their anscestors dirty doesn't make any cense to me. i cant go pick up arrowheads in vantage and sell them but they can make profit from the elk herd that i have to pay to hunt for two coweeks out of the year with everyone else in the state willing to pay up for a true spike. american history is violent and cruel but i guess i just dont feel like i owe you anything. if we can have a black president, women and yes even natives can vote and in this day and age all people are supposed to be equal then why does "i was here first" give you more rights than me. god bless america?Sounds like you should be mad at the state for their regulations, it sounds like you have a problem with them. Why dont we start a thread on how unfair the state is instead of attacking a group that has something that you want. Start a constructive thread that can come up with ideas to show your law makers to get it changed for the better.

It was obvious that the picture wasn't of tribal members' deer- the "Bowtech" sticker on the truck was a dead giveaway. I've never heard of any "modern" indians doing their killing with a bow and arrow. Kind of ironic, isn't it?
Quote from: colockumelk on October 13, 2011, 04:07:17 PMThat was definitely done by the Yakamas at the firing center. And they definitely are pretty skilled at deer hunting. That must have been the last five deer.

Well I basing my stuff off the fact that the guy started the thread by posting the colvilles website. How others have said they have seen truck loads come out of the area around Republic, and they was talkin about members that was selling deer at orchards. How also we just sweep poaching under the rug and dont take care of it, I also let them know what our fines are for our tribe. Thats what I have been commenting on mainly.

I say it over and over again to people. Stop talking about it and take pictures. Without evidence its just rumors.
