lucky year
« on: August 31, 2011, 05:21:46 AM »
what a great year for drawing deer tags, i drew multi season tag and the coveted late mission unit muzzie tag for mission unit, it took 11 years to draw the late season tag, I have read forums that said that mission creek was crawling with people helping other people fill tags last year. is this true?, now the question is where do i start this hunt, big unit, little time only 6 days, would hate to miss this oppurtunity for a big buck, if you have info for those migratory muleys maybe you would like to share a few with me.

I've heard that headstones make a great rest and so do walmart shopping carts.   :chuckle:

Apparently BoneAddict is familiar with wenatchee mule deer habits, just not sure the city of wenatchee allows headstones for rests  :), now Wal Mart is a different story. thanks

If you're from Wenatchee, you should be telling us.

That seemed like a logical response. You definitely beat me to it.

Why is it people who draw tags always magically appear looking for the honey hole :dunno:

All you have to do is get out there and take a look in the woods. Dont expect to get every answer about the best places to go!!

OK heres is the deal, 40 years of deer hunting and my tropy wall of fame looks more like a wall of shame , spikes, 2 points and a puny 4 point, has been a little embarassing to say the least, i have drawn a tag that may give me a chance to redeem myself. Thanks for all of the input.

With little effort, you should be able to add a nice trophy to your wall.  Best of luck.

I don't really know the area but live in East Wenatchee as of the firt of the year. I would be willing to help ya find a good buck if I can. My buddy had that tag last year so I could talk to him and see if he has any pointers. PM me if interested
