Alpine Buck
« on: September 01, 2011, 06:03:20 PM »
Was out for an 8 day long hike in August and came across this guy early in the morning at 7500 ft elevation.
Didn't seem bothered by me at all.  Now we're in September he better be getting more wary!   :)

Thanks!

Don't think I'll be going after him, JBR..... I don't have a horse and he's at least a couple days hike to get to!  ;)
That is.. if he's still there.    Saw lots of deer sign everywhere we went.  Up very early and stayed up late but didn't see a lot of deer, just tracks, beds, etc.

I love that picture!

Lots of different colors, cool backdrop, etc....

Thank you for sharing.

Incredible pic!  :)
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5

What a fantastic buck! Love his back splits. It keeps me sleeping well at night knowing SOME of these big fellas get to evade and reseed the gene pool. :)
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.
