Winthrop muley numbers
« on: September 03, 2011, 03:22:22 PM »
I am going to be hunting the second deer (antlerless) Methow permit on a friend's property a few miles north of Winthrop later this month.

Just wondering what people's observations of the deer numbers in the valley this year have been like. A few years ago it was crawling with deer, but hunted it last year and although they were around, not nearly so many.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say your anterless tag should be an easy one.

Just talked to my brother an hour or so ago, he's a few miles north of Winthrop right now for a week hunting as well and he said this year so far seems to be alot less deer around then last year. they've only seen 1 legal buck so far in the 1st 3 days. Could be the heat though too.
To God alone be the Glory!!
