I hear ya!   I just started packing.

I would complain but, I had to work and well as we know any work is god at the moment.  Listing to komo new today and all the stories about hard times made me really feel for the people who can not afford to hunt this year.

I will complain about the weather.  To dang hot!

For the West side I love the heat.  You know were the elk will be heading in the morning and the evening.  Their bedding will be the cool side of the hills and if you have alders they will be in it.  I have found a few wallows.  They are screaming...

So the hotter the better

Truck's all packed up, and ready to go for tomorrow morning.  Packed, and re-packed, and my mind is still going over the mental checklist.  Probably won't get any sleep tonight - just can't wait to get out after them.
Good luck to everyone fortunate enough to be out there hunting this early season.  Keep those arrows in the quiver until the time is right, and when the time is right, pick a spot.  Most importantly, have a great time.

Willn't be leaving until Friday, but that gives me nine days to hunt and even better just  being in the woods. I am packing now and everything is sitting by the front door ready to go. Leave some elk for me guys, lol. Happy Hunting
