Sherman youth Mulie doe help
« on: September 05, 2011, 03:26:40 PM »
Hey guys,

Don't like to ask for help here, but I just spent a few days up in the Sherman doing some scouting to get to know the area before my 8 y/o gets to hunt her first year. She drew the Sherman antlerless tag.  Since she can already shoot a whitetail doe, I was hoping to get her into some mulies since that is more or less something she won't be able to do often.  I scouted up Deadman creek and in Refrigerator canyon area, staying within a reasonable distance of the rig for a 8 y/o to travel.  Saw only 1 small mulie doe the whole time.  Thanks in advance for any pointers you can give.
