New Sticks
« on: September 06, 2011, 07:45:58 PM »
After getting "shafted  :chuckle:" by an Archery shop near by, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn how to fletch my own arrows. Man was I in for a surprise! This stuff is a piece of cake!!!!
Ended up putting together some sticks even the Nuge would be proud of....

I also decided to try out a 3 degree helical with the vanes. My arrow speed dropped a bit, but I have never shot tighter groups in my life!
You can tell the character of a man by how he treats those that can do nothing for him...

Nice job! Careful, it's addicting! I've been making my own (woodies, alum. & carbon) for years. Now I've just started making Traditional bows!
