Good Older Used Bow reccomendations
« on: September 07, 2011, 11:08:34 AM »
I am wanting to get my first bow, and was wondering if there was some models and brands of older used ones you all would feel good recommending.  Just do not have the money to buy a new one, and have read numerous articles that say you can find a good used one for around 100.  Advice would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
Dave

Well for around $100 you can find some OLD bows off craigslist... that can get you started... They tend to shoot slow and not group awsome but it is an OK way to get started. I would just find some one you know that knows bows to look at it to make sure its in ok condition... There are more package deals out there these days for new bows  that are around $300... And will be easier to shoot...  :twocents:

If you can find a used Mathews MQ-1 that would be an excellent bow for hunting.  Still wish I had that bow back.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

What do you think of the Bear Charge, that can be done as a package?

Can't go wrong with an Oneida Eagle. Where are you located?  I have one I would part with.

You can get a bow that was top of the line a few years ago for good prices
