My 03' bear
« on: September 07, 2011, 06:10:55 PM »
I haven't made it out yet to do any bear hunting, but I thought that I would share a picture of the bear that I shot up in B.C. in 2003.
He is definitely my favorite of the bears that I've shot so far.

That is one amazing coat on that bear. That will definitely be a hard one to top as far as color goes.

Is that a Kermodes bear?
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Dream bear right there! I saw one like that 8 years ago before hunting season. He was the reason I started hunting bear. Hope to get one like that some day.

No it's not a Kermodes bear. He's just a good ol B.C. black bear that didn't know he was blonde :chuckle:. He was shot about 70 miles NW of Prince George. We hunted bears on three different occasions with Ambush Outfitters (he is a sponsor here) and color phase bears were probably 25% of the bears harvested. Glad that you guys (and gals Michelle) like the color. Here is a front shot pic. The rug is laying on the back piece of bison hide that I had a shoulder mount made.
