Value of a Western Field 720B EHM .270
« on: September 09, 2011, 10:16:32 AM »
My friend was going to let me borrow his gun value guide for the gun show this weekend, but he can't find it, he thinks his dad "borrowed" it.

Could anybody be so kind as to find the value of a Western Field 720B EHM .270? I want to trade it this weekend and would like to know about what it is worth.

I have looked online all morning, but I can't find anything. I would really appreciate if someone could take the time to look it up real quick for me. I would go buy one, but I live an hour from town, and can't drive in to buy it today.

They are a Montgomery wards house brand. The ehm is a mauser variant and could be worth $100-300 depending on condition. As always a rifle is worth what someone will pay for it. They are a lot of gun for the money, but there is little love for them.

thanks for the reply. good info too.

I hope to trade it for a .223 single shot or bolt action this weekend. Do you think it would be reasonable to find a decent .223 in this range, assuming the person is willing to trade for a .270?
