Redfield to leupold custom shop.
« on: September 08, 2011, 10:44:12 PM »
Does anyone know if someone could send in a redfield to the lupy shop for the nicer turrets?

Redfield scopes aren't made in Europe...You know that, right? ;)

I can't believe you would even type the name of a U.S. scope manufacturer...unless you were bashing it.   Is everything alright? :chuckle:

I do not know if you could send them a Redfield, but you could send them one of those nice Leupolds and I'm sure they'd be glad to help you.

Redfield is now made by Leupold. Call or e-mail them and ask, since they make them, they may upgrade them.

I guess it would depend on when it was made off the Redfield site. Also their address is the same for both redfield and leupold.

REDFIELD PRODUCTS MADE BEFORE 2010
When Leupold & Stevens, Inc.® purchased Redfield in April 2008, it did not acquire the capability to repair Redfield products manufactured prior to this purchase. The repair tooling and parts were purchased years ago by other repair services. Leupold & Stevens, Inc. will service its manufactured Redfield product (manufactured from 2010 forward) in accordance with its published warranty.

At this time, should a non-Leupold & Stevens, Inc. Redfield product require service, we suggest contacting Iron Sight, Inc. (918) 445-2001. This contact is provided for information purposes only, as Iron Sight Inc. is not affiliated with Leupold & Stevens Inc. They should be contacted directly for all information regarding repair, service and associated charges.

It would be a lupy stevens red, and not a repair.  phone calls can be hard to come by in afghanistan so i'll save those for calling my family.  I'm getting replies on another forum that it is a different (better) design in the redfield from the lupy.

I couldn't find anything about custom stuff on there web page. I would think it would be the same.
