just got out of the st. helens tree farm. gota hunt two days and then they closed it all. they said DNR was deciding if they are gona close there land to. thats a hear/say though about the DNR

i got ran off from mossyrock this evening the officer said that pretty much all of the west side was closed. going to be a rough season

from what the first officer i talked to said  is that packwood and part of the gmu next to it where the only ones open and probably it would stay that way till after mod season with no one out there hunting there could be alot of calfs next year and some monster bulls

When you say places are closed. Do you mean closed to vehicle traffic or can  you still walk in?  Also are the timber company land the only places closed or do they close the Ginford Pinchot NF as well?

National Forest lands are still open. I don't recall National Forest ever closing for fire danger. I'm sure it's probably happened, but it's very uncommon, that's for sure. State land is still open as well, as far as I know.

Weyerhaeuser, at least the St Helens tree farm, was closed just to motorized vehicles, but as of September 8th, they closed it to ALL entry.
