Well that story there puts my lil solo bear hunt to shame, i was only 9 miles in lol., I dont know how you have the determination to hike in 14miles for a critter, must of been a hell of a pack out. One of these days i will have to hike into that wilderness and see just how lost i can get

Great write-up and photos as always... the photos you posted of these bucks earlier definitely got me glassing a little higher in elevation than I normally would have! Congrats Bone and thanks for the write up!  Mulies with the trad bow, on a solo backpack hunt are just so darn cool.  I'm constantly trying to figure out how to lighten up my load.  Last week during the first 3 days elk opener I slept on the ground with no bag/shelter, was too hot to get in the bivy sack or bag...  Now I'm thinking about next year and how light I can go.

Thanks guys.   Meat turned out fine Coach.  It was key to know where there were cooler spots to keep it in the journey.  Packing good meat bags is a must as well to keep it clean and let it get air.

I'm not sure.   I picked them up at sportsmans wharehouse a few years ago for my moose hunt.   The wrapper is long gone and I don't recall any logos on them.
