Need Help with Cougar Skinning
« on: September 10, 2011, 08:27:05 PM »
I just got my cat out of the woods and need a quick reference for cougar skinning in preperation for a mount or rug.  This is my second cat, but I didn't do the best job skinning my last one.  Is there a difference in skinning for a rug vs. a full body mount?

You can case it, which is skinning from back foot around anus to other back foot, then skin off carcass.
Let your taxidermist make the other cuts.

OR open it up as you would a rug, with a short haired animal like a cat you won't use a dorsal incision...

Pics and story when you are done!
