Oregon bear down!
« on: September 11, 2011, 10:56:06 AM »
Well we set off last night to locate some elk for jenna's hunt next month.   Made it about 3 miles up the road when this guy showed himself!    A 300yard stalk and he came out of the brush about 80yards below us.   One perfect shot and jenna filled her bear tag.    Now hope to find a bull for her next month!!!

I dont know what this bear was thinking because we had our beagle in the truck and she was baying like crazy as we left her.   The bear was just walking up the draw and never did run.   He was quartering away and the bullet went in the shoulder and out the neck.   Didnt even move once she shot.   No death moan nothing....DRT!

Yea she wants to get it soft tanned for now.   Looks just like yours shedcrazy!   It gets really light down the back!

Beautiful!  Oh - and nice bear  ;)
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
