Got my first Archery deer.
« on: September 10, 2011, 01:39:23 PM »
Shot my first Archery deer last night.  I was doing a slow walk to my stand (second property Im hunting) and I then I hear a noise behind me, I Look back and there is a deer, bigger than a yearling but still a small deer.  I decide to take him, and hit him at 20 yards.  He runs a few feet and topples over, I waited 30 minutes and then walk over to him.  Looked like he expired as soon as he toppled over.

The arrow after I recovered it, and my deer hanging in the garage.  Lots of tasty meat on this one, and I had 3 dogs begging during the whole process.  :chuckle:

Thanks for comments!  Now its time to fill my two bear tags before the Modern Elk season starts.  I plan on taking the first bear with rifle, and the working the second one with my bow. :IBCOOL:
