I think most guys do give the gross score.  My Bull from 2 years ago would be a good example  gross @ 339  net @ 320.
But the score really means nothing, just have Bucklucky mount it and enjoy.

Damn nice bull....  Private property??? Noticed the fence in the back.... :dunno:
yes the unit was Peola, mostly private in the blue mountains foothills.  Not a high fence hunt, or a slam dunk.  Ask 400out about it. LOL.

Boy everyboy has an opinion on this one!
I have to agree with the notion most hunters don't know how to score antlers.  I know I didn't and when I shot my 300 class bull last year.  I had to measure it 5 different times when i arrived home only to get it up to a wopping 255 :(.  Don't get me wrong...Great bull, great hunting experience, fabulous meat...I just didn't have any idea what kind of bull you must have to score over 300 :dunno:.  I do now and there are very few of them out there.  Thanks for the post!

I appreciate that!  ;)  Under normal circumstances I could care less if someone misspells every other word without making a minimal effort to correct it (spell check button). But to do that while blasting hunters who make themselves look stupid on this site? That was just a little too hypocritical for me.

Oh I understood your point loud and clear. I just couldn't resist an attempt at humor.

Personally I dont care what someone thinks their animal scores, Im just glad we were able to share a little bit of their experience.  There are areas on this site to get testy on (off topics politics & news), but getting on guys for being excited about a kill isn't one of them.  I know we all have things that get our blood boiling, but a guy calling a 260" bull a 300" bull isn't one of them for me.

and as to have to pay to have it entered 35 40  bucks most guys drink that in beer in a week on tackle to fish one afternoon idont know maybe i a wrong

sorry I am not big on measuring things ;) ........entering contests or bragging  :dunno:  so truth is I dont care what they score I like big bulls and I like seeing people post success pictures...the numbers really dont matter much

with people like you getting all hell bent I am not so sure I would share pics openly here....and I will never spend the money to enter something in the "record" books even if it "could" go there...who cares... :dunno:

not that I will ever kill anything anyway.....just really glad I can live vicariously through some of the really good people on here....

Well said runamuk....

Unless someone is calling a house cat a bobcat,,   who the heck cares......   :chuckle: :chuckle:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Why are you guys all worked up?  All of my raghorns score over 300".
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

50cal..... thats a great lookin bull great photo taken of the bull great mass to him so its probably more decieving than anything but without seeing that bull in person i cant really give you an honest guess with a quartering view i have nothing to compare with in the photo as to length he has a great frame and mass but without a couple more pics im not going to give you my opinion of score but congradulations its a beautiful bull
The reason I posted this Elk pic is because many "experts" have guessed anywhere from 290 to 340. When I tell them it scores 316" a few have called B.S & still don't believe me until I show them the score sheet. Some guys don't ever want to admit their wrong but the look on their face when proven wrong is priceless. :chuckle: By the way it cost $10.00 to score your rack & a extra $20.00 to enter the Wa record book if thats your thing.

That record book is not official and a sham
