I've used both 3 and 4 vanes in the past.  I'm currently using (3) 3" duravanes with maximum right offset.  Plenty of vane to stabilize and twist the slick trick broadhead.

3 Blazer vanes with pretty good right helical. Works great for myself and the other guy I have fletched arrows for.

I have always used 3 vanes and i switched to 4 this year. I see no difference in my flight patterns.

3 vanes is what I use.  The extra vane cost weight when I am trying to get as close to 420 grains as I can.  The performance is just fine with the Shuttle T-Locks.

I shoot 4 4inch flex fletch with a twist. I dont think it make a huge differance but when i shot 3 vains me and the old man were messing around shooting 100 yards and i noticed a slight wobble in my arrow flight. I told the old man i needed to check my arrows through some paper. He gave one of his arrows and told me to shoot that (4 vain) therer was absolutly no wobble at all. Ive shot a 4 vain ever since.

I have shot 4 Fletch right helical for years. I get a stabler arrow flight and I also have never had to worry about which side of the nock I need for the cock feather. That's been over 30 years of archery.

3 blazers with a helical. If your arrows are coming off the rest straight the fletching won't have to work as hard to correct arrow flight. When I lose a fletch off my arrows I keep shooting them and they group just fine with my 3 fletch arrows.
Team nubby!
